About CEEE

The Center for Equity and Excellence in Education (CEEE) at the George Washington University was established in October 1991. The mission of the CEEE is to advance education reform so that all students achieve high standards. CEEE has a committed staff of education leaders, researchers, and practitioners who provide evidence-based technical assistance and job-embedded professional development to state and local education agencies (SEAs and LEAs). For SEAs, LEAs, and various offices of the U.S. Department of Education, Center staff also conduct evaluation studies and policy and applied research focused on topics such as the assessment, accommodation, and instruction of English language learners (ELLs), literacy, and school reform.

The Center operates under the umbrella of George Washington University's (GW) Institute for Education Policy Studies (IEPS) in GW's Graduate School of Education and Human Development.
